Sonar and Echolocation
Echoes occur when the medium ends or there is an obstacle in the way, then the sound waves reflects off a surface and travels back to you. A sonar is fitted into a ship to detect how deep the water is. Echolocation is the use of ultra-high frequency sounds that are used for navigation and hunting prey. Bats and marine animals use sound to see and hunt.
